(Chamaemelum nobile) Perennial. Roman Chamomile is a low growing herbaceous perennial with a creeping habit, perfect for creating a flowering carpet or planting between pavers. Tiny yellow and white daisy-like flowers have a sweet apple aroma and are used in traditional medicine for a calming tea. The darling blossoms attract beneficial pollinators.
To Grow:
Sow seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before your last average frost date. Press them into the soil but do not cover them with soil because they need light to germinate. Transplant seedlings outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked. Direct seed after last frost.
